Sark is like no other writer I’ve ever read. She has been publishing books since 1991 with “A Creative Companion,” some of her other titles are “Inspiration Sandwich”, “Sark! Journal and Play! Book”, “Living Juicy”, “Succulent Wild Woman”, “The Bodacious Book of Succulence”, “Eat Mangoes Naked.” She has a new book coming out called, “Juicy Pens Thirsty Paper.” Her books look to be hand written and many are in various colors of ink. There are usually drawings on the page and boxes and circles that beckon you to explore and express. She is all about living juicy as she says, bold and bodacious, full of color and verve. And she wants to give us all permission to be “splendidly imperfect.” To get a feel for her style, visit her web site at  It’s a gas! You can’t help but bel lifted after reading even a paragraph of her writing. The following was written in red ink, inside a green and purple circle. The first sentence was circled in purple ink:

“Be willing to live in between right and wrong. The ego needs and desperately wants to be right and make others wrong. In between right and wrong is a soft, messy, laughing place where it doesn’t matter. I’m still spending an inordinate amount of time trying to be right. There is much to learn.”

This is from “The Bodacious Book of Succulence,” under Loving More Succulently. Here’s another, in a different circle, “Learn to fight your inner critics as fiercely as you would an attacker. The inner critics started for a good purpose when we were small and grew out of proportion to what we need now. Learning to stop inner critic attacks is essential for love to grow.”

Sark teaches how to love ourselves and honor all our parts, so we can love more fully. And how to move ahead with what she calls Micro Movements, which she invented for procrastinators, like her. You will always be a little more inspired, feel more like you can, after reading her delightful books.
