Trager® work is a Body Work discovered by Dr. Milton Trager in 1927.

A Trager session entails laying down on a table, in loose-fitting clothes. The practitioner performs a gentle rocking and shaking that makes muscles feel soft and slack. She will highlight the feelings by working on one side of the body and then, comparing the other side, ask, “Which feels better, lighter?” The treatment leaves one feeling like the Trager logo – a symbol of a dancing cloud.

Worry, tension, and guilt are often cited as the main sources of “dis-ease.” Much of the damage comes from piling up these intense emotions. Trager releases the built-up tension in the joints and muscles and, with the help of a few simple exercises, trains the body to reside in that relaxed state. Trager work enlists the body as a powerful ally in the quest for wellness.
